Time

Time is an illusion

They say

A distortion of space

The witness of the limited human capacity

I watch the clock, intending to slow down the hands

The dreaded meeting comes anyway

Right on time

Time is not linear

They say

I watch the clock, visualizing it in 3D

The second hand circles

One completion

Two

It doesn’t speed up

It doesn’t go for a trip

It doesn’t take a holiday

To visit the Andes

To circle round the globe

Time is an invention

They say

So why do I see it’s effect on my skin?

On my face? On my mind?
