Patriarchy

I have urges

How dare women deny me?!

I shall lure them in

Pretend I care about

Their feelings

Say I see them as

Human beings

Oh, the power of

Pinning her down

Having her willingly submit to

My will

Manipulating her into

Giving

Nurturing

Supporting

ME!

My status is higher!

The more beautiful, the better!

Trophy wives should stand still

Open their mouths to swallow

No challenges to

My wits!

Oh the pain, Oh the ache

How could I have accepted

Your dirty hands and stinky dick

On my pristine skin

On my glorious mind?!

The twisted words and crooked smiles

Had ramified deep into my flesh

Webbing around my heart

Culture lied to me

I am more than a man’s add-on

I shall prune misogynistic beliefs

Reshape synapses in my brain

And free myself from sexist oppression
