Anguish
One word
From a stranger
Half thought
Blowing steam
Ugly Hydra ramifying in me
Invading my mind, finding all corners
Swelling, growing, conquering, tearing
Devouring. Obsession.
The fight would be in vain
The Hydra is a domineering force
The Will intends to contain it
Begging Rationality to help
The small team is pushing the doors close
But like an inflammation going out of control
The emotions are responding to the Hydra
The pressure is intense
Doors and windows suddenly deflagrate
The mental torturers found the gates to physicality
Biological response, shortage of breath
Lachrymal glands scaling up the production
Any attempt to stifle the factory
Is countered by a raging Hydra
Slamming into the brittle defences
The war is lost, like an injured animal
I need to find a hidden place
Concealing from the predatory eyes of the world
Letting the Hydra amplifying and devouring my emotions
The agony will last eons
When the battle is finally over
The hydra having self-destroyed once the field was devastated
I stand alone in the aftermath, the chilled wind whipping my face
Somewhere the seeds of hope, joy and self-esteem are hidden
I need to find them and nurture them to growth
Until the next storm takes them away.
